utter madness

by plowe @ 2005-08-11 - 12:31:30

I am feeling sort of like a teenager today as I have been flirting with someone in a deli in town. She is cute with lovely brown eyes and long dark hair. We had a laugh the other day about some imaginary shoes that could float the wearer up to high shelves in order for them to retrieve the goods from the top. I 'even' asked her name (very forward of me) and she asked mine. Since then I have been in for a coffee and we have continued the conversation to the point where I promised to bring in some jokey descriptions of adapted shoes that could do the job. I spent all last night working on the designs on paper and left the results with one of her workmates this morning for her to see and hopefully have a laugh at. i am going back this lunch to see what she thinks. Eeeek.

that is so cute!!!!! I have a crush at the moment on a dude at my local pub.........I feel like such a pathetic blubbering mess

thanks for the support nuzeechic. She was busy and smiled a beautiful smile but they were short staffed and she hadn't had a chance to look at my creative stuff. I tried to be cool but inwardly I felt like yourself. i drank my coffee and bought some nice olives and returned to work where I am now, typing this up in my dinner hour. Since my divorce my confidence in looking for a potential date has grown a bit but I am soo out of practice and all the women I fancy are half or two thirds my age. Generally i am very confident in most situations except this presently. Although I am coming up to 50 next year I feel very young at heart and enjoy the company of younger people. I hasten to add that I am not some old lech or 'the oldest swinger in town' just a nice, friendly, creative and sometimes lonely guy in search of some companionship and love. Oh god, I'll get myself bursting into tears next. Stop it right now me! Oh almost time to get back to my desk.
