What do women like in men's clothes

by plowe @ 2007-09-14 - 09:27:02

OK, ladies I need some help in sprucing up my wardrobe and making myself look good. What is it that women like in a man in the way he dresses or the type of clothes he wears? I realise this is probably a big question but all answers appreciated.

Big decision made over eBay shop

by plowe @ 2007-09-13 - 13:29:12

Decided yesterday to ditch/cancel/get rid off the eBay shop I had set up selling Lavender products. I took me ages to do all the promotional photograghy and buy the items wholesale to sell on and also spent a lot of my annual holiday making French Lavender bags in my kitchen. Thank goodness for work colleagues who have brought from me privately and friends and neighbours otherwise I would be very p*ssed off. My prices were very reasonable for the items and postage and I worked on tweaking the site for eight weeks and trying to attract custom with some great help form folks on their discussion boards. After all that time and only three sales through the shop site i decided to cut my eBay shop losses and continue to sell privately. I will continue to trade through eBay in the auctions selling and buying incidental bits and pieces but not bother with a shop.

less than two weeks to go

by plowe @ 2007-09-13 - 13:15:37

Sometimes time goes so quickly. In two weeks time I will have already performed in Charley's Aunt for three nights. We are at the culmination of our rehearsals and still some way to go yet to be at performance standard. At this stage my years of experience tells me that those involved suddenly realise the tightness of the schedule and work hard to get things theatrically right. I am looking forward to playing the character Brassett and I think that the weeks run will be great fun.:DD

nightmare on the bus

by plowe @ 2007-09-11 - 11:28:44

A female work colleague came in this morning saying she had a nightmare on the bus to work. Aparently her young son (two and a half years old) had eaten two bananas and two bunches of grapes for breakfast and then had the shits on a bus full of people.

What a nightmare!

Aidez - moi! Am I a Francophile?

by plowe @ 2007-09-09 - 23:04:15

I subscribe to France Magazine every month.
I dream in French.
You say OMG. Je dit 'Mon Dieu'!
I am a huge romantic about La Vie en France.
I have a big collection of foreign films, mostly French.
I happily spend two plus hours perfecting a short email to a friend who speaks French.
I eat French cheese for breakfast along with assorted meats and croissants and pain au chocolat with a big bowl of coffee.
I revel in anything remotely connected with L'Hexagon.
I enjoy a glass or two of wine as long as it is French.
I have an extensive collection of French music.
You say HMV. I say FNAC.
UK politics have no interest to me but French one's do.
I love French culture.
'Tranquil' is one of my favourite words.
I love the smell of Lavender and the sound of cicadas.
I often have a frog in my throat and when passing Le McDonalds call out ... Rosbifs!
Snails are my favourite movable snack.
I am growing my ears to look like Serge Gainsbourg.
If I smoked I would do so whilst eating.
The world is garlic shaped.
Please tell me if there is a cure for Francophila so I can avoid it?
