OK, ladies I need some help in sprucing up my wardrobe and making myself look good. What is it that women like in a man in the way he dresses or the type of clothes he wears? I realise this is probably a big question but all answers appreciated.

The right clothes for the right occasion is what counts.
Chinos, short sleeved shirt (both fresh and crisp) worn with slip on loafers (no socks) for casual.
Smart black suit with white shirt worn with black shoes and black socks topped off with a daring but tasteful tie for that special meal.
As autumnleaves said smell is very important too!
Just having a browse and this question made me giggle.I agree with the above about clothes for the right occasion.However jeans are the most versatile item of clothing and look good with a shirt or tee-shirt with a nice fitted black suit jacket. They have to be long though no socks showing and not too tight and not to high in the waste either.I know this might sound cheeky but the complete shaved head look is a very sexy look for the mature man think Bruce willes or grant Mitchel. PS I'm obsessed with France too

Thanks Lyndyloo, as you can see I haven't done much blogging on this site for a while. Having just come back from a trip to Germany and France with my theatre group I may get inspired to put up a few amusing things. We performed in Karlsruhe and I invested in some nice casual shirts as it was baking hot there. Nice to hear that us mature baldy fellas have some attractions still.
If you want to I would be happy to hear about your France obessions. Do you speak any French at all?

I think a shirt with collar looks good on men and also jacket rather than jumper or sweater. Cotton twill slacks like the Dockers are nice, too. I loathe men's clothes that make them look like Elvis or Napoleon Bonaparte. All in all a man should look neat and clean and smell sweet in his clothes.
